Afrikaans pronouns are infamous for being confusing to English speakers, especially the male and female pronouns: hy and sy. This is mostly because the pronoun sy can refer to either a male or a female, depending on the context. 

By the end of this series, the rules for pronouns in Afrikaans will be clear, and you should be able to use them confidently and correctly in your own sentences.
